Job Summary: The Cleaner oversees keeping the Doctors of Peace (DOP) facilities clean and hygienic under the direction of the Facilities Manager. This position is essential to maintaining a secure and welcoming workplace for DOP employees, guests, and beneficiaries. Key Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities •Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility by doing regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming. •Make ensuring that all restrooms are routinely supplied with supplies, cleaned, and disinfected. •Clean and sanitize communal spaces, such as conference rooms, kitchens, and workplaces. •Replace garbage bags as needed and empty trash cans. •Keep external spaces, such as parking lots and sidewalks, tidy and organized. •Utilize established procedures for handling and storing cleaning materials and chemicals. •Cleaning desks, seats, and panels. •Clean toilet areas and replenish toiletries. •Cleaning doors and windows. •Checking stock levels of cleaning materials. •Cleaning and emptying garbage and garbage. •Refilling and putting soap and sanitary napkins in the toilet. Prepare for the coffee break: •For DOP workers and guests during planned breaks, prepare and set up coffee break facilities, including putting up coffee makers, tea stations, and snacks. •Prepare the coffee break for workshops at DOP location. Inventory Management: •Keep track of the stock of cleaning and sanitation materials and report when they need to be replenished. •Assist with maintaining the inventory of cleaning tools and equipment to make sure everything is in excellent operating order. Safety and Security: •Respect the DOP's safety and security policies and procedures. •When cleaning, be mindful of safety precautions and follow them. •Inform the facilities manager right once of any events or worries regarding security. Communication: •Maintain efficient and appropriate contact with DOP personnel and guests. •In addition to routine cleaning chores, report any maintenance or repair needs to the facilities manager. Other Duties: •help with meeting room setup and furniture placement for parties and gatherings. •Support in the organization of DOP events and activities as requested. •Perform any additional duties tasked by the facilities manager to maintain the facility's tidiness and efficiency. Qualifications: •Fluent in Kurmanji language •It is preferable if you have prior janitorial or cleaning expertise. •familiarity with cleaning tools and substances. •a capacity for both independence and teamwork. •strong interpersonal and communication abilities. •the capacity to properly manage time and set priorities. •flexibility to work ad hoc hours when required. •dedication to security and safety procedures. •Cultural sensitivity and respect for variety.
